Encampments in Griffith Park

Over the last several months, homeless encampments were spotted and removed in spots within Griffith Park. Encampments within the Park pose serious fire risk and we appreciate the swift efforts of our Park Rangers to keep park areas safe. We also communicated with our Council Office to let them know that homeless encampments within the park are distinctly different from homeless encampments on streets or sidewalks and we expect the Council Office to support our Park Rangers in their efforts to protect the Park and city residents.
